My name is Staci Winborn. I grew up in Story City and graduated from Roland-Story. This is a second career for me as this school year I completed fifteen years as a special education teacher. I have a Masters degree in Special Education from Morningside University and a Masters in Christian Education from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. I am currently taking classes at Luther House of Studies.
My family and I moved into the parsonage mid-June. My husband, Loyal, is a data analyst for Southwestern Community College and works from home. We have two adult sons. Evan, our oldest, lives with us and goes to Mainstream during the week at the dayhab program. Our youngest Xander, is getting married in August to his high school sweetheart, Marissa. Xander is an auto body tech for Don and Sons. Marissa is a personal trainer for Ames Fitness and a cook for the country club.

Since I started at Bethany, I have worked on building a relationship with the community. I have reached out to the surrounding area pastors and Colo-NESCO school administrators. I have visited the daycare multiple times and will be doing a weekly Bible lesson with the toddlers. I have visited members at the care centers and Mainstream group home.
I look forward to meeting more people from the church and the community. My office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00-1:00. In the afternoons, I visit members at care centers and their homes, the daycare, hospitals, and area pastors.
I am grateful for the support and welcoming arms that Bethany Lutheran members have extended thus far.
Please continue to pray for the transition to a new pastor at Bethany Lutheran, for our church family, for those in the military, for our local, state, and federal government, and for others who are on our hearts and minds. May you find a blessing in the love of Jesus each and every day. Amen.
