DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS: Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday, November 6th.
ALL SAINTS’ DAY: On Sunday, November 7, we will be remembering those saints from our congregation who have transferred to the Church Triumphant since last All Saint’s Day.
FALL CLEAN-UP DAY will be next Sunday, November 7th. Please join us following our worship service to clean up the church and grounds and prepare for winter.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: It’s not too soon to get started. Plan now to pack a box (or several) to be delivered to children in need around the world. Every box is given in Jesus’ name with prayer behind it. Check the table in the upper hallway for information on what to put into your boxes. If you’d prefer not to shop, you can make a donation and the Luther League will do your shopping for you. Filled boxes will be dedicated on Sunday, November 14th, during our worship service.
THREE WINDOW AIR CONDITIONERS have been removed from the offices and nursery and are available for give-away.
KUMLA DINNER & HARVEST SALE will be held on Sunday December 5. We are looking for individuals willing to help with the planning and preparation for this event. We have two volunteers and would like several more. Please talk to Pastor Kathy if you are able to help.
FELLOWSHIP COFFEE SERVERS NEEDED: A sign-up sheet has been provided in the narthex for individuals or families to sign up to provide and serve snacks for Fellowship Coffee. While we are not yet assigning fellowship duties, anyone who would like to being homemade baked goods or snacks is welcome and invited to do so.
BIBLE STUDY: Sign up for Bible Study and indicate your preference: Sunday morning, weekday morning, afternoon or evening, men & women together or separate. There’s a sign-up sheet in the narthex; let’s get serious about digging into Scripture.
SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY has resumed. Everyone is invited to join us at 8:00 am as we study Paul’s second letter to the Corinthian church.
SUNDAY NIGHT MEN’S BIBLE STUDY has resumed. All men of the congregation are invited to join in at 7:00 PM on Sunday evenings.
OCTOBER THROUGH DECEMBER PORTALS OF PRAYER is also available on the table in the narthex. Please help yourselves.
OUR DAYCARE IS HIRING: We are in need of new staff as we make a new and exciting beginning. Pastor Kathy is currently serving as our Director, but we need a number of additional staff. We also need people available to fill in as substitutes for the next few week until we are fully staffed. Even two to three hours a few times a week would help tremendously.
Volunteers who would like to help are also welcome: it would help our staff greatly if we had volunteers willing to come in for an hour or more just to rock babies or read stories to children, Talk to Pastor Kathy or sign up on the sheet on the table in the narthex.
BREAD MINSTRY CONTINUES WITH NEW TIME from 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM every Wednesday. Times are based on when HyVee has items ready for pick-up.
FISH & CHICKEN DINNER: The American Legion dinner will be Sunday, November 14th at the American Legion Hall. Please make plans to attend.
CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY BAGS ARE ONCE AGAIN AVAILABLE in the narthex. Bags hanging up have been sanitized. When you return bags that have been used, please place them in the box.
